Department of Gaestroenterology HFH
The Department of Gastroenterology evolved as a state-of-the-art Center for Liver and Digestive Diseases (CLD) located in the new Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi building with a covered area of 10,000 sq. ft. The only public sector facility in Northern Punjab is also facilitating patients from KPK, AJK, GB, and Islamabad by providing them easy access to procedures like ERCP, EUS, Manometry, RFA, Fibro scans, therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopies. The department is a teaching center with FCPS and MD training and also hosts the largest number of workshops in a calendar year for hands-on training of faculty as well as fellows. The department is also well-equipped with a skill lab and also provides a hub for the training of undergrads, postgrads, technicians and nursing staff.

Mission
- To provide diagnostic and curative services to patients of GI and Liver Diseases, particularly hepatopancreatobiliary diseases and hepatocellular carcinoma (Liver Cancer) in northern Pakistan
- To impart advanced training to the GI fellows and Specialists in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- To establish clinical research in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology
- To develop a network with national and international centers and societies of GI and liver Diseases
