Established in 2015, the Department of Infectious Diseases at Rawalpindi Medical University has become a pioneering center in northern Punjab, committed to delivering superior patient care through state-of-the-art diagnostics, evidence-based treatments, and stringent infection control. Our team effectively manages a broad spectrum of infectious diseases, including COVID-19 and recurrent dengue epidemics in the Rawalpindi and Islamabad region, ensuring timely interventions and improved outcomes.
In addition to our clinical excellence, we are dedicated to advancing healthcare through education and research. We offer robust training programs and continuous professional development for healthcare providers across public and private sectors. In collaboration with DEAG Punjab, our department has been hosting regular dengue clinical management workshops and seminars, serving as a vital resource center that fosters cross-sector expertise. These initiatives empower clinicians with the latest strategies to combat emerging infectious threats and elevate public health standards in the region.
