Department of Pathology RMU
The department of pathology at RMU is involved in teaching of 3rd year and 4th year MBBS medical students, DPT, BS allied health sciences and nursing students. There are FCPS, PHD, MPHIL AND DCP trainees in department and the attached teaching hospitals in various disciplines of Pathology, working under supervision of professional faculty members.

Mission
- To clear all concepts related to pathology to undergraduate and post graduate students
- To clear all concepts related to pathology to undergraduate and post graduate students To work with department of medical education in effectively teaching the students through small group discussions, large group discussions, self-directed learning and practical
Objectives
- To facilitate the undergraduate and post-graduation programmes
- To maintain the laboratory budget according to the approved budgetary allocation, while maintaining high standard and quality service
- To improve consolidate approved structural changes for expansion of the pathology section
- To continue to develop an awareness and monitor the appropriate laboratory utilization by medical staff
- To maintain the accreditation standards of Punjab Healthcare commission
- To upgrade the laboratory Information system to comply with the forthcoming new clinical information system and affect the electronic ordering system of laboratory investigation
