Pediatric Surgery

Pediatric Surgery Department is a newly established Department at Rawalpindi Medical University. It is located at Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi. It was established in July, 2016 and Dr.Naeem Liaqat joined this Department as Assistant Professor of pediatric Surgery. He pioneered the department and developed it from scratch. This department started from single room and Outdoor services were started. Indoor and Emergency services for patients were started soon. In a period of 2 years, he enabled the department to get recognized for training for MS as well as FCPS programs. Later on Dr.Navira Javaid joined as Assistant Professor in the same department and she helped a lot in patient management,

Now it is a fully developed department which is 25-bedded. It is now fully recognized for training and has 8 trainees for both MS as well as FCPS programs enrolled. Dr.Mudassar Fayaz Gondal is now working as Associate Professor and Head of Department. Currently there are three consultants working in this Department.

 Outdoor days of the department are Wednesday and Friday.

Operation theater days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
