PROF. DR. MUHAMMAD UMAR is the first and the current VICE CHANCELLOR of Rawalpindi Medical University. His accomplishments include MBBS, MCPS, FCPS, FRCP, FACG. For his services, he was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan.

The Education and Training section of the Medicine Interest Group focuses on providing authentic and reliable medical knowledge to students. It organizes informative activities such as MedQuiz, MedQuest, MythBusters and MedResearch, aimed at enhancing clinical understanding, research skills, and academic growth. The department ensures that all shared information is valid, evidence-based, and promotes continuous learning among members.
The Management and Finance section of the Medicine Interest Group is responsible for
organizing and coordinating all activities, whether conducted on-campus or online. It ensures
the smooth execution of events by handling logistics, planning, and financial management. This
department plays a key role in maintaining MIG’s operational efficiency and ensuring that all
initiatives are carried out seamlessly.
The Media and Publication section of the Medicine Interest Group is responsible for managing all social media activities and event coverage. The department designs engaging pre- and post-event posters, reels, and highlights to promote MIG initiatives. It ensures effective communication and outreach by maintaining the group’s online presence and showcasing its
events creatively and professionally
The Alumni and Speaker Outreach section of the Medicine Interest Group is responsible for establishing and maintaining connections with guest speakers and alumni. This department coordinates with speakers, invites experts for various MIG events, and ensures continuous engagement with distinguished professionals.
