Board of Advance Studies & Research
It is the university based board of advance studies and research
Functions
- Promotion of advanced studies and research in the university
- Consider and report to an authority with regard to research degree of the university
- Propose regulations regarding the award of research degree
- Appoint supervisors for a post graduate research student and to approve the title and synopsis of the thesis and dissertation
- Recommend panel of examiners for evaluation of a research examination
- Supervise the research veracity and integrity at RMU through annual review of research activities
- Support institutional research ethics forum and ORIC in development of research policies and guidelines
Board of Advanced Studies and Research
- The Board of Advanced Studies and Research shall consist of the Vice Chancellor who shall be the chairperson and the following members
- All the Deans
- Controller of Examinations
- One University Professor from each Faculty to be nominated by the Syndicate
- One member to be nominated by the Vice Chancellor
- Three members from the relevant field, research organizations or the Government to be nominated by the Syndicate
- Three professors other than Deans to be nominated by the Syndicate
- Registrar (Secretary)
- The term of office of the members of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research, other than ex-officio members, shall be three years
- The quorum for a meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research shall be one-third of the total number of members
