The use of medicine is one of the principal ways of combating disease and Pharmacology is the science concerned with all aspects of drugs. Pharmacology department in Rawalpindi Medical University (formerly named as RMC) was established in 1974. Firstly the department was situated in old teaching block on Tipu Road with all the other departments, then with the construction of the new teaching block in Holy Family Hospital in 2008 the department was shifted to the new block on 2nd floor.

To increase knowledge of pharmacology and drug discovery via innovative research, teaching, and teamwork. Our goal is to enhance human health via the investigation of drug action mechanisms, the advancement of creative therapeutic approaches, and the training of the upcoming generation of health care professionals and Pharmacologists
