Introduction – Director, Public Health PhD Program

I am Dr Majid Yousafzai, Director of the Public Health PhD program here at Rawalpindi Medical University. My journey in Health Policy Management began at Nanjing Medical University’s School of Health Policy & Management, where I was fortunate to be guided by Professor Chen Jiaying—an expert on China’s health policies. Under her mentorship I explored China’s health‑policy framework and its real‑world implementation, gaining an edge that I now bring to RMU.

I am committed to serving our nation by leveraging this experience to enrich our curriculum, mentor scholars, and drive research that translates into impactful public‑health solutions.
