Department of Orthopedic Surgery RMU
The Department of Orthopaedics, Rawalpindi Medical University is conducting under- and post-graduate training programs, which include FCPS (Orthopaedic Surgery), MS (Orthopaedic Surgery), POA Trauma Fellowship , Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and BS (Orthotics & Prosthetics). The Department is actively involved in educational activities, like the formation of curriculum, workshops, seminars, etc. Research has always been a major focus of attention for the Department. The Department has more than 50 International and National peer-reviewed publications.
The Department also has collaboration with the Pakistan Hemophilia Foundation and Pakistan Thalassaemia Welfare Society. Patients with hemophilia and Thalassaemia having Orthopaedic complications are regularly managed here. The Department has a welfare program for the deserving non-affording patients, where they are provided implants arranged by the donor agencies, relatives of doctors, Zakat and Bait-ul-Maal. These deserving patients are provided best quality implants.
