Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU), Rawalpindi, invites applications
from qualified candidates for admission to the
PhD Public Health Program (On Campus).
The program is intended for professionals and researchers who wish to
develop advanced research skills and contribute to public health through
research, innovation, evidence-based practice, and policy development.

Required Qualification:
FCPS, MSPH, or any other relevant qualification as accepted by
Rawalpindi Medical University.
Entrance Test Requirements
Applicants must fulfill one of the following requirements:
- Obtain at least 60 percentile in the Subject GRE, OR
- Obtain at least 60% marks in an Entrance Test of equivalent
level conducted by Rawalpindi Medical University.
Candidates who have already:
- Passed GAT/HAT Subject with a minimum of 60% marks, OR
- Hold a valid GRE Subject Test with a minimum 60 percentile score
will be exempted from the RMU Entrance Test.
However, such candidates will still be required to
qualify in the interview.
Statement of Purpose / Research Proposal
Each applicant must submit a
Statement of Purpose of approximately 800–1,200 words
using 12-point font.
The Statement of Purpose will form an integral part of the application
and should include the following sections:
1. Title of the Potential Research Proposal
Provide a clear and concise title for the proposed research.
2. Current Understanding and Potential Research
Clearly articulate your current understanding of the intended field
and ideas for potential research.
3. Intended Impact of the Proposed Research
Explain the intended impact of the proposed research.
4. Research Motivation
Applicants should demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for their
proposed area of research.

- Complete and submit the online admission application form.
- Upload scanned copies of all required documents.
- Submit a non-refundable bank draft of Rs. 5,000/-
in favour of the
Vice Chancellor, Rawalpindi Medical University. - After submitting the online application, dispatch the
hard copy of the submitted application form
along with attested copies of the required documents and the
original bank draft through courier.

Entrance Test & Interview
The Entrance Test will be conducted at:

Shortlisted candidates qualifying for the test and interview will be
notified through the
official Rawalpindi Medical University website.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must complete the online application process and submit
the required hard copies before the deadline. - The Rs. 5,000/- application processing fee is non-refundable.
- Candidates claiming exemption from the RMU Entrance Test must
provide valid evidence of the required
GAT/HAT Subject or GRE Subject score. - Candidates exempted from the Entrance Test will still be required
to qualify in the interview. - No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the
test or interview.
In-service candidates must apply through the proper channel
along with an NOC from the competent authority.
