Department of Biomedical Ethics RMU

    The Department of Biomedical Ethics has been recently established (16 July 2022) at the Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) and is perhaps first of its kind in medical institutes of our country. The department has developed curricula and study guide the teaching of Biomedical Ethics to medical undergraduate students (MBBS), as well as postgraduate scholars (MD, MS, FCPS, M. Phil and PhD), based on instructions given by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), General Medical Council (GMC) UK and World Health Organization (WHO). Curricula for teaching Biomedical Ethics to Nursing, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences disciplines have also been developed. The department has initiated the conductance of seminars and workshops on Biomedical Ethics for the medical faculty and staff of various teaching hospitals of RMU
