Welcome To

Department of ENT BBH

The Department of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery at Benazir Bhutto Hospital is a dynamic and fully operational unit, featuring a 25-bedded ward, a functional outpatient department (OPD), a well-equipped operation theater, and a  24 hour emergency service. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sadia Chaudhry, our department fosters a collaborative and educational environment that includes two Senior Registrars, postgraduate trainees enrolled in the FCPS and MS programs, as well as dedicated house officers.

One of our department’s greatest strengths is its strong academic orientation, which emphasizes both responsible stewardship of healthcare resources and compassionate patient care. We prioritize teaching and mentorship, ensuring that our residents and trainees not only develop their technical skills but also cultivate empathy and understanding in their interactions with patients and their families.

Academic Progrms

Postgraduate Programs

Undergraduate Programs

The postgraduate ENT training program includes structured academic activities every Friday to enhance clinical knowledge and skills. Trainees present long and short clinical cases, followed by peer discussions for critical analysis. Open group discussions incorporate recent research, while periodic workshops focus on surgical techniques and diagnostic procedures. Trainees also conduct literature reviews to develop critical appraisal skills and benefit from guest lectures by specialists for networking opportunities. Regular feedback helps improve presentation skills and track progress. The program aims to deepen knowledge of ENT disorders, foster collaboration, enhance critical thinking, and prepare trainees for independent practice.

Progams include:

  • MS
  • FCPS

Fourth-year students participate in two weekly rotations and undergo assessments at the end of each rotation. During these rotations, they visit the outpatient department and observe cases in the operating theater, culminating in a case-based assessment. At the conclusion of each rotation, students are evaluated through a viva vice and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination
