ANZAPP
Introduction
Founded on November 19, 2012, ANZAPP was established to address the unique challenges faced by Pakistani-origin medical and dental professionals in Australia and New Zealand. Many internationally trained doctors and students struggled with professional integration, mentorship, and career progression due to differences in medical systems, licensing requirements, and workplace expectations.
Beyond career support, ANZAPP provides a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, helping its members enhance their professional development. It also fosters cultural identity and social belonging, supporting Pakistani families in their integration into Australian society while maintaining their heritage.
The association is committed to medical education, research, and leadership development, ensuring its members actively contribute to the healthcare system. Another key objective is philanthropy and community service, including medical relief, charity work, and public health initiatives.
A significant reason for ANZAPP’s creation was to support healthcare in Pakistan by contributing to charity hospitals and collaborating with existing healthcare initiatives. The founders envisioned a global network of Pakistani-origin physicians working together to improve healthcare access for underprivileged communities.
Through ANZAPP, the founders aimed to build a strong, supportive, and engaged medical community that not only uplifts its members but also makes meaningful contributions to healthcare in both Australia and Pakistan.
Our Objectives
ANZAPP aims to provide a forum for professional and personal development through ongoing medical education and research and for the exchange of medical knowledge amongst its members, as well as between other healthcare organizations.
ANZAPP utilizes the resources of the association in promoting cultural harmony and social integration of Pakistani physicians and their families within Australia.
Our Activities
ANZAPP members provide mentorship to young Pakistani medical/dental graduates or students in pursuit of advanced training, skills, and career development in Australia.
ANZAPP plays a vital role in creating awareness in our younger generation by organizing social events and participating in philanthropic, charitable, and voluntary works.
