RAWALPINDI MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
What is USMLE?
The United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) is a three-step examination for medical licensure in the United States and is sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) and the National Board of Medical Examiners® (NBME®).
The USMLE assesses a physician's ability to apply knowledge, concepts, and principles, and to determine fundamental patient-centered skills that are important in health and disease and that constitute the basis of safe and effective patient care. Examination committees composed of medical educators and clinicians from across the United States and its territories create the examination materials each year. At least two committees critically appraise each test item or case, revising or discarding any materials that are in doubt.

The Main aim for the initiation of this forum is one step further for our students who are interested in taking USMLE.
RMCAANA alumni members are always here to guide our students in all aspects. They will do this through their respective fields of interest.
With this special level of interest by RMCAANA alumni members Principal RMC Prof. Muhammad Umar like to take step too for the benefit of our institute students who are interested in USMLE. He announced to create a forum in between RMC students and RMCAANA alumni members. He creates a book bank corner to maintain the record of lectures given by RMCAANA allocated teachers. Give permission to arrange skype call interview and lectures to our Medical students.
According to him tis just a beginning of our long endeavor and with time as we move forward things we will do changes and new innovations according to the needs arise . This mentorship forum would totally be a volunteer one and we would ask for your time only please. Students would put questions here and our faculty members would answer from time to time.

Message from Dr Sohail Aman, M.D:
AoA and welcome everyone to this USMLE RMC forum. Since the successful inauguration of our mentorship dinner December 2015 under guidance of our principal Professor Umar, we want to take this initiative one step further for our students who are interested in taking USMLE.
I feel RMCAANA alumni members are in best position to guide our students through their respective fields of interest. In return they can pay back to their Alma Mater. Let's combine our efforts and make this forum useful for our students.
RMCAANA has also decided to continue to support and fund students who would arrive to USA for residency interviews.
I personally feel there's no better way than working at grass root level and guide our future generation.
This is just a beginning of our long endeavor and as we move forward things would certainly change and continue to evolve according to the needs arise for which we will device a Roadmap soon.
Suggestions, comments are welcome. This mentorship forum would totally be a volunteer one and we would ask for your time only please. Students would put questions here and our faculty members would answer from time to time.
Later we would arrange Skype lectures also.
